The Cadillac SRX was a luxury crossover SUV produced by Cadillac from 2004 to 2016. It was designed as a midsize SUV that combined Cadillac's luxury with the versatility of an SUV. Over the course of its two generations, the SRX rose to the top of the sales charts, winning over drivers seeking premium features, a comfortable ride, and strong performance in a practical package. The first generation was built on the same General Motors Sigma platform as the Cadillac CTS and STS sedans. It was designed as a rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive crossover, offering sporty handling characteristics compared to other SUVs in its class. Two engine options were available: a 3.6L V6 and an optional 4.6L NorthStar V8 engine. The transmission was initially paired with a five-speed automatic transmission, which was later upgraded to a six-speed automatic, improving fuel economy and performance.

The second generation was built on GM's Theta Premium platform, which was also used by the GMC Terrain and Chevrolet Equinox, two other luxury crossovers. The design became more in line with Cadillac's new angular, modern design language, moving away from the sportier look of the first generation to a more refined, SUV-like appearance. After the 2016 model year, the SRX was discontinued and the Cadillac XT5 was introduced.
